I do agree that McGwire's records will have to be taken with a grain of salt, but how do you adjust records for all players in the "steroids era", when no one knows how widespread steroid use really was. I think the worst part about all of this has been the effect steroid use has had on the history (records) and image of baseball, our classic American sport.
